While searching the web, I found a website where you can have a page of "web minis," small applications like a calculator which can be added or subtracted to the webpage.
On
yourminis.com there is a page where you can customize a "tab" with, virtually, whatever program you want. They have several different kinds of minis: links to news articles, a mini for the time, random quotes, and you can even see your most recent emails. To place these minis on the tab, you use the simple drag and drop method -- you can place it anywhere on the page!
Another awesome thing is that you can open as many tabs as you would like. You can designate one tab for business, one for fun and games, another for things like remembering the date and checking mail.
When I tested out this site, my page consisted of news articles, the time, a quote of the day, a comic strip, a link to my GMail account [[They also have Hotmail, .mac mail, Yahoo! Mail, and a few others.]] and games. The game selection is very good. They have several categories, and it seems like it could keep someone busy for a long time. This is the perfect start page for anyone wanting to have access to lots of applications and RSS feeds. You don' t have to register to use the page, so go ahead and make one!
