Mobile Internet Device Hardware

  • MID will be built on the Menlow platform, which includes the 45nm-made Silverthorne CPU and supported by the Poulsbo chipset
  • MID could support Windows Vista or Linux.
  • The device will also support Adobe's multimedia platform Apollo, which made its official launch in March.
  • Samsung Electronics will provide the display panel
  • China-based handwriting software provider Hang Wang will provide related handwriting tools.
