| Expand the range of colors available to text in onenote. I am a medical student and nearly all school materials are in powerpoint or word format. I would like to use onenote to take and organize the majority of my notes. Trying to convert word docs and powerpoint presentation material into onenote creates problems that could easily be corrected. First, many materials use fonts with custom colors. If they are copied and pasted into onenote the colors are the same. However, if you enter your own text, these colors are not available. If I do the same, for example, pasting a list from powerpoint to word, a color scheme with these colors is instantly available. Why couldn't this feature be included in onenote? Second, why is the picture toolbar inferior in onenote relative to other office programs. For example, cropping a picture is simple in word and powerpoint, and again, for reasons that are unfathomable to the note-taking world, not included in the onenote program. Third, onenote is for notetaking. Outlines are ideal formats for notetaking. The outlining options in onenote seem to be aimed at quizing. Well, actually creating an outline is frustrating. It seems that it would be fairly easy to include the outlining features available in word so that actually creating an outline would go smoother. Fourth, converting powerpoints intto onenotes is the most frustrating to a student. Clearly, the programing has benefits that are apparent to anyone who has tried to organize notes in word using powerpoint lecture notes. It would be nice to organize ppt slides in an outline that doesn't take up to much space. Why doesn't onenote allow for the editing of ppt slides that is a feature of word. Overall, onenote has the potential to be extremely beneficial to the student. I am frustrated however that the features I liked using in word are not available in onenote. Word is agonizing to use trying to organize notes, onenote addressess these problems but rids itself of the useful features in word. I propose a format that basically combines the features of both word and onenote.
