trial version uninstall

I am presently using a trial version of OneNote 2007. I purchased a license
and I was told I will need to uninstall the tiral to use the license key. If
I do this will I lose my existing notebook files I have saved.

>>>I was told I will need to uninstall the tiral to use the license key

Who told you that?

You should just be able to enter the license key into the Trial.

Re: trial version uninstall

The tech at CDWG told me that. I think it has to do with volume licensing?
If I uninstall and reinstall it from the disk will I lose my existing
notebook files?

No but it never hurts to make a backup (as insurance) beforehand in case the
worst happens anyway.

Re: trial version uninstall

I had to uninstall the trial version and reinstall in order to use my volume
licensing key. It was a extra work, but my notebooks remained untouched. I
had a custom toolbar that also managed to survive the un/re install.

As Waller suggested, backing your notebooks (use a CD or DVD) is a good
practice before starting this process.
