| Re: How do I select a few cells of a column? There is a standard Windows copy tactic that will work. To select the items in a column, you can double click each item in the column while holding the CTRL key. When you paste, it will paste as a table column. -- Hope this works, John Guin OneNote Test Team http://blogs.msdn.com/johnguin "Rainald Taesler" wrote: > Avrohom wrote: > > How do I select a few cells of a column (and not the whole column)? > > This can not be done. > ON <> Excel et al. > > Rainald > > . > |

But what I would like to do is select three cells in a column, 'cut', and then 'paste' these three cells somewhere lower in that column. I tried what you have suggested, but in order to paste, I cannot select three cells lower down. Instead, One Note pastes these three cells as a column all within one cell. Any more ideas? > > -- > Hope this works, > John Guin > OneNote Test Team > http://blogs.msdn.com/johnguin > > > "Rainald Taesler" wrote: > > > Avrohom wrote: > > > How do I select a few cells of a column (and not the whole column)? > > > > This can not be done. > > ON <> Excel et al. > > > > Rainald > > > > . > > |

| Re: How do I select a few cells of a column? If you need to do something like that, your best recourse I think is to bounce the table (cut/paste) over to Excel, then bounce it back. It's pretty quick to do this under most circumstances. - khitch frmsrcurl: http://msgroups.net/microsoft.public...ls-of-a-column |

| Re: How do I select a few cells of a column? That's an interesting idea. I tried this just now. It basically worked. The only problem in my case is that I have many cells highlighted and/or tagged -- and this did not transfer into Excel. And therefore it didn't transfer back either. I have been so impressed with One Note in so many ways: 1. the notebooks and tabs at the top and the side are so wonderful to work with! 2. and the way you can click anywhere on the page and move these boxes around is ideal! I just find this one aspect disappointing. I think this is very easy in Word and Excel. Why does the selecting in One Note work so unusually?
