| Can I create a page template with A4 width, but infinite length? I would like to be able to create a template with A4 width, but a variable length that increases as I type, just as it does in a default blank document. I am a student and I like to copy and paste lecture notes from Word straight into OneNote (2007). Unfortunately my lecture notes stretch across more than one page of A4. At the moment, seeing as I can't find a way to limit the page width without altering the 'bottomless' page length I am left with two (unsatisfactory) options: (a) copy text into a default blank document, meaning it gets resized when I print, (giving me un-uniform and sometimes unreadable hard-copies of my notes) OR (b) copy text into an A4 blank document template, meaning I have to manually create numerous pages (which is not what I want) and then take the time to cut and paste the text into them. Can't I just manually resize the width of the page without affecting the length?!?! |

No, there is no way to achieve what you are after. It's an "either .. or" situation. The only thing I could thin of would be to use a background picture with a ruler. You could then manually adjust the width of the containers on your endless page. This would avoid re-sizing n printing. Rainald |

It should look fine and fit the page when it is printed out. The tough part making it so that page breaks don't come in the middle of a line... Really one of the weakest things in ON (if not the worst issues). Added - now that the ON2010 Beta is out -: I really do not understand that nothing has been done in so far for the new version. Over time there have been so many complaints and suggestions to add the feature of setting manual "breakpoints). Too bad that the developers obviously did not listen {siiiigh}. Not be misunderstood: There are really many great new things ON2010!! The mire it hurts that quite a number of basic things have not been cured {siiiigh}. Rainald |
