can the page title be formatted?

I would like to keep the page title, but get rid of the time stamp. Is
this possible?

No, not automatically.
But you can delete date ad time manually.

Yup. Select and delete. It's not readily apparant that you can do this,
but it's possible. Keep in mind that once deleted, that timestamp control
cannot be added back into that page.

If you want to setup OneNote to not add the date/time stamp to each new page
in a section, I wrote a "How To" at
