[OneNote 2007] Change location of Notebooks automatically?

Os: Windows XP, Version: One Note 2007 SP2

Hi there,

We do have a problem with the One Note 2007 Setup. The default safe location
is: "Drive:\data\%systemvariable%\data". Now One Note was creating a
folder called "%systemvariable%" and a data folder in the data folder.
We do now want to change this default safe location, but we do have the
problem that we have user that are storing Notebooks in this folder.
Our idea is to change all the files in this %systemvariable% folder and use
the new location for the files. The problem there is, that one note looses
all its references to the notebook.
Now the question:
Is there a way to have one note automatically update the location of all
notebooks that we're stored in the old location?

Thank you and regards - nja

The most reliable way to do this is have the user close all their
notebooks, then reopen them from the new location. You could also write
a script using the OneNote API to close the notebooks, update the path,
and reopen them at the new location.
