Windows Search Indexing

Can someone please advise me?

I am tinkering with the "Indexing Options" in Win7 64-bit. I am attempting
to make sure the search feature in ON works properly, as it is not finding
anything at the moment.

Is the solution as simple as checking the ON notebooks check box in the Win7
Indexing Options?

Thanks.

RE: Windows Search Indexing

I should add that it is currently only searching the page that is open on the
screen.

RE: Windows Search Indexing

Well, I answered my own question. I thought I would post it on here in case
anyone else is in the same boat.

All I did was close all of my notebooks and reopen them. Oh, and I have the
ON notebooks folder checked in Win7 Indexing Options.

It seems to be working now.

Thanks for the follow up!
Glad to hear that it now works.

BTW: A most useful tool is the "IndexerStatus" gadget.[1]
Not only does it show how far the indexing process has come but also
allows direct access to the Indexing Options and can be used for
stopping and starting indexing at normal or fast speed.
