| Hey guys I am new to Onenote but I have a very annoying problem. When I hyperlink text within onenote and put the hyperlink where I want it to go in a subsection onenote for instance, it shows the full extension path as the title and not the text that I selected. I know its easy enough to edit the hyperlink and add the text thet I want to show as my hyperlink but thats so annoying I also noticed that when I copy and paste anything that is highlighted or in a different color like this "David Gemmell" it actually pastes as plain black like this "David Gemmell". I have uninstalled on several occasions and the above mentioned problems do not happen on a fresh installation for a little while but normally within a few hours of installation these problems occur, and it really has me baffled |

| Re: Onenote hyperlink and C&P problems Are you just selecting text or other content, and not creating a link to a specific paragraph/page/section/notebook? Does this issue occur only when C&P *from* OneNote *to* OneNote? Do you get hte PAste Options menu when you paste anything? From there you should be able to select "Keep Source Formatting" to retain font formatting from the copied text. Does changing the related options in Tools | Options | Editing | Editing Section help or change the behavior? | Re: Onenote hyperlink and C&P problems If you just paste with nothing selected, the text of the hyperlink will be pasted. If you want to apply the copied link to an anchor of text, select the text first then press Ctrl-K which will bring up the standard Office hyperlink editor dialog box.
