Turn of Snap to Grid

I am using the drawing tools (wish they were as robust as the other Office
programs) and would like to lose the snap-to behavior that is on my blank
template. Do I have control over this? I am using OneNote via a tablet, so
key-strokes would defeat the purpose of the hardware.

Disable this feature - from the menu "Edit | Snap to Grid".
The icon can also be activated in a toolbar.
