Two computers - HELP!

Hi I have a work laptop (which docks) and a personal laptop. I've read that
with the license you are allowed to use a desktop and a portable. Would that
include two laptops? Also, I loaded the trial version on my personal laptop
and tried to use the key from the one on my work computer (the active version
I bought) and it won't take it.....how do I get One Note to work on both??

I don't think that this would be against the rules (as long as ON is not
used on a desktop computer in addition).
This would be different if you'd use the "Home & Student" version which
allows for installing on 3 computers.

both??

AFAICS there are different codes for the trial versions.
Try to install from the CD your computer at work was installed with.

I would also recommend first uninstalling the trial version before
installing from the CD.

Why?
The trial version is full version with no restrictions and normally
entering a valid key is all one needs to do.

I've found in the past that =sometimes= the trial version won't accept
the key from a store-purchased system. Why this is so, I don't know,
as it has only happened occasionally. But I've seen it happen so
whenever someone goes from a downloaded trial version to a
commercially-purchased product, I always recommend an uninstall and
then reinstall from the purchased CD or DVD. No loss of data, and it
avoids headaches down the road.
