Symbol shortcuts

I understand that I can AutoCorrect to get the same symbol assignment as in
Word. However, I do not see how to put the symbol into the Auto Correct
Replace box?

Re: Symbol shortcuts

There are two methods - both involve the Character Map application (Start
Menu | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools.

1) find the character and Select/Copy from CharMap and then paste into the
Autocorrect dialog box using Ctrl-V
2) find the character and note the Keystroke information in the Status Bar
at the bottom of the CharMap window. Use that Keystroke (hold down the
Alt-key and then type the 4-digit number on the keypad, then release the
Alt-key) in the OneNote Autocorrect dialog box.

Re: Symbol shortcuts

You can also use OneNote's Insert/Symbol, insert the character you want then
copy/paste that as Erik says. The insert symbol dialog also gives you the
keyboard shortcuts for any character (not the limited set that charmap
provides)
