Hi Guys,

I read a similar thread, but my situation is different.

I just upgraded to Vista business edition on my tablet pc. I had ON2003
installed on the xp before upgrade and all is well, but after the upgrade the
send to ON printer disappeared (along with other printers), and i cannot add
it either (local->create new port-> onenote port gives a "cannot creat port,
error 2; i've made sure that the printer spooler service can interact w
desktop, and restarted it too).

I do not have any ON powertools installed (tho i do have the tablet pc
experience pack, which includes a "send to ON2003"; this also doesn't work
anymore).

I've tried uninstalling it, rebooting, and reinstalling, (no use), then
patching to ON2003 sp2 (no use)...

Any ideas?

Can you try a "Detect and Repair" in OneNote?

I would highly recommend to upgrade to ON 2007.
Vista and old ON (firsta attempt) is a bit of a contrast ;-)

Honestly speaking: ON 2007 has tremendously been improved. And one
really misses something if one sticks with the old version.

P.S. ON 2007 is available as a free trial until it will appear in the
shops.

Yup, forgot to mention that, i did try repairing from within and from the
setup...

Thanks! will try ON2007... I was already impressed by vista- it even
recognized my barely readable chinese characters...
