It seems that you are spectacularly unthankful!

Don't blame others fro not being unable to read what's in a menu.
The second item in the naviagtion menu of the site for which Patrick
sent the URL reads:
"Get the Beta or Take the Test Drive".
Clicking there leads to the place for the download.

Re: Quick question

Yes, it sure does. But the links from there give you, *drum roll
please* BETA 2! And that doesn't help you if you don't have BETA 1
installed!

It wasn't an inability to find the Beta place, which is the first place
that google returns when you search for Microsoft Office 2007 -- it is
trying to find the FIRST beta so that the Techinical Refresh can be
installed. I did eventually get it -- via bit torrent.

Re: Quick question

Not sure what you are talking about. You need to install Beta 2 and then
you can install Beta 2 Technical Refresh. Beta 1 was never made
available public and also has expired by now, so I don't see how
installing that could be any use for you.
The link was correct, you simply didn't know what to install.

WRONG!
Seriously wrong.
I have no idea on who might have told you such nonsense.

One does *not* need Beta 1 at all (except for doing research in the
field of software archaelogy <gbg>).

Just installing Beta 2 and then patching that with the B2TR patch is
fully sufficient.

The First Beta is unnecessary as as flue in mid-summer.

And there was no use at all that you found that.
In the future: Do not google around, beware of WAREZ-like sites, just
go to the *normal* places offered by MS for their products and do what
you are told there.

No one to be blamed but *YOU* yourself.
As said before: You seem to have problems to just read <g,d&rvvvf>.
