I'm using OneNote 2007 in school where we have to make very long,
multi-level outlines for each class. I am experiencing an annoying
behavior/glitch:

I have multiple pages in a section. One page will have a long,
detailed outline a large section of which I will collapse. I will
switch to another page in the section and edit something. When I
return to the page with the outline, it is expanded again. It seems
to want to go back to the way the outline was expanded/collapsed when
I first opened the notebook.

This is incredibly annoying and creates delays due to the length of
the outlines I'm working with.

Any explanations/solutions?

Hi. Word has a more robust [powerful] Outline feature; maybe use hyperlinks
to Word documents?? I'm not sure what the final form of this custom
app/system would look like...
