| Passwords - MS Home Server I have successfully used OneNote (2007) wireless synchronization on a Sony SZ120/Vista Ultimate synchronizing with a Desktop XP Pro OneNote (2007) for almost a year. I recently installed H/P MediaSmart Server on my home network and had to strengthen the Password (greater than 5 characters) on my laptop as well as create a sign-on password for my desktop. It seemed like the install went OK and I could get to the server management from the laptop. Then I noticed that OneNote was not synchronizing and had an error "A password is required to synchronize this Notebook (Error Code: 0x52E). I have uninstalled all home server software from the laptop and did a restore to an earlier date, but still am getting the error message. I have seen where there is an apparent bug in the home server software when you attempt to edit files on the server (specifically OneNote, but I am not using the server in that manner). The server is working on my other two desktops on my home network. I have never used passwords on any of my OneNote files. Any comments/suggestions. Thanks! |
