The only was I managed to use it in my testing of OneNote was using
the drawing tools.

1. Create a new page.
2. Put some drawing objects on the page (e.g. arrow)
3. Click the lasso button on the drawing tool.
4. Using the left mouse button, draw a line around the objects you
have just drawn. This will select the enclosed objects.
5. When you release the left mouse button, the drawing objects will be
selected.

This technique can also be used to select items in note containers
(e.g. text).

I would like to know of other ways that it can be used.
