| RE: Suggestion: Sorting of pages and folders For my money a tool to permanantly sort by alphabetical, numerical or date order would be great. If it came with the option to temporaraly sort lists and tables then so much the better. Idealy it would sort by selected column or items. The sooner, the better as this is a serious short comming in the OneNote product. Another tool that would be really useful would be the ability to make permanant links between multiple items eg tasks and names. Many thanks "Chris Pratley (MS)" wrote: > We hear this request a lot, and of course we'd like it ourselves as well. > > Maybe I can ask a question here: Which is more important? > A) a way to permanently re-order pages by alphabet, time (oldest first, newest first), etc, or > B) to have a temporary "view" of these (maybe to help you find a page), and after you got out of that view you would be back to whatever order your pages were in normally - i.e. no way to make them permanently stick in that sorted order. > > Note that (B) is a lot like the View/Page List, but it would operate directly on the pages in your section, not in the task pane. In Word the formats (not sure what it`s called in the EN version) change the whole document, including text. Why would it be tough to implement that into OneNote, since it only changes the page background (asfaik). -- Kind regards, magoo |
