| OneNote 2007 Trial Version I downloaded the trial version. All of the demo files show up fine, but I can't do anything such as create a new notebook or create a new page. I thought the trial version was meant to be fully functional. I just did all of this today, my expiration date for the trial is Jan 31, 08! Any hints? |

| RE: OneNote 2007 Trial Version Well, after a very frustrating hour, I shut down OneNote and reopened it. Now everything seems to work fine! That's the news from here! | Re: OneNote 2007 Trial Version I had a similar problem. I couldn't even create shortcuts in Windows by copying from the start menu. A reboot sorted everything out. I think it installs Net 3 so I'm assuming that was the cause of the problem. |

| Re: OneNote 2007 Trial Version Nah, OneNote doesn't use .NET (which is a trend in Microsoft that I'm not too fond of). It probably had to do with the activation system. -- Josh Einstein (Tablet PC MVP) Einstein Technologies Tablet Enhancements for Outlook - Try it free: www.tabletoutlook.com "JohnGoogle" <JohnGoogle********.co.uk> wrote in message news:1194818524.129770.248260@22g2000hsm.googlegro ups.com... >I had a similar problem. | Re: OneNote 2007 Trial Version Problem with .NET adoption in MS and performance is that few people understand (even in Microsoft) what's going on in the framework. For example, I see lots of people recommending NGEN, but few people mentioning that if you do that and you don't change the default base addresses of your assemblies and GAC, you incur the huge cost of rebasing + strong name verification, usually slower than JIT. I won't name names but someone I talked to said one of the reasons they don't use .NET was because if parts of System.* or mscorlib get inlined, then they can't be serviced through normal framework patches. -- Josh Einstein (Tablet PC MVP) Einstein Technologies Tablet Enhancements for Outlook - Try it free: www.tabletoutlook.com "JohnGoogle" <JohnGoogle********.co.uk> wrote in message news:1194899977.631930.228980@v3g2000hsg.googlegro ups.com... > OMG! > > I thought MS were really into .NET! > > I just assumed that OneNote used the .Net framework.
