USB headset

The USB headset I use works beautifully in recording through one-note.
However, it only records my microphone and not what the others in the
conference are saying. I am supposed to keep the minutes of the meeting.
How can I fix this?

Re: USB headset

Find an omni-directional USB mic. Headsets are designed to try and eliminate
other outside noises.

Re: USB headset

Check to see if your tablet or laptop has a built in microphone. Nearly all
tablets do and many laptops do as well. Just try recording without the
headset plugged in.

But a good omnidirectional mic will get you better sound.

Re: USB headset

Did a bit of searching since I suggested something I didn't even know if it
existed. This is actually one of the cheaper options, but I have no idea
about how well it would work. No shortage of opinions though I'll bet.

Re: USB headset

I'm assuming it's a headset microphone like you would use for a VOIP call?

You would need to use a microphone that is designed to pick up sound from a
larger room. OneNote can only record input from one audio source at a
time.
