| ON 2007 hangs after 6 hrs - every time... I am using OneNote in court and always experience the same thing; - at about 15.00, after a trial starting at 09.00 and using OneNote all the time, it suddenly starts to get slow and especially ereasing is very slow. - then suddenly the whole application hangs, and I get a message saying "OneNote has stopped working... Looking for a solution that might solve the problem..." - This lasts for at least 5 minutes - as I am panicing in the middle of my final statement etc.. - Then I - still in panic - stop the whole application, and restart. Then the problem is gone (until the next 6 hours...). Is this a bug? Any suggestions? Regards, Henrik |

| Re: ON 2007 hangs after 6 hrs - every time... Using Vista? Be sure to let it create the crash dump and then be sure to submit them to Microsoft when prompted. They actually DO look at them and they are very helpful in finding and fixing bugs. 1) Are you using voice recording at the time? | RE: ON 2007 hangs after 6 hrs - every time... this is not a bug but you please increase your Ram or your harddisk space , it is because one note need buffer space to work and when it is not getting that it hangs . | Re: ON 2007 hangs after 6 hrs - every time... This is OBVIOUSLY a bug and not good program behaviour. Why not restart every 4 or 5 hours as a circumvention though? You could use task manager to monitor OneNote's and the system's [or some other app's] memory usage and perhaps add more RAM if appropriate and this may change the behaviour. Maybe not. Could you submit an error report and post the bucket number? You can get the bucket ID by opening the Control Panel, bringing up Administrative Tools, then opening the Event Viewer. Open the application log and look for error/info messages from OneNote, around the time you sent in the error reports. One of them will have the bucket ID in the info you see if you doubleclick the event. Ilya |
