| Troubleshooting I love this program and can definitely see huge potential here. However, I am having some weird issues which are preventing me from fully experiencing the program and I am hoping someone can help: 1) Tasks - For some reason I am unable to create taks from my notes - my "task" button is not active (it is greyed out) and when I highlight or select text and click on it nothing happens. This is a huge issue as I can see being able to create tasks from text in my notes as an amazing feature - but I can't figure out what the issue is. 2) Printout of PDF Files - When I try to insernt a printout of a pdf file into a note it opens the pdf and the status bar that says "insterting document" comes up, but it gets about half way through and hangs. I can insert links to files no problems, and I can insert printouts of other files no problem, but I really want to be able to see the pdfs I insert...I've tried large and small (58kb) pdfs, so I don't think size is the issue here... 3) Syncing with my Samsun Blackjack - I installed Onenote on my Blackjack (a "smartphone") but the notes I create on the Onenote program on my blackjack are not syncing. Onenote shows up in my activesync window, but it isn't "checked" to sync and there isn't even a checkbox next to it, like there is next to "tasks" "emails" etc... As I said, I really think this program is great and want to use it to its full potential - any thoughts or suggestions you may have to help me resolve these glitches would be greatly appreciated! |

| Re: Troubleshooting 1) Do you have Outlook 2003 or 2007 installed? Those buttons only work to create Tasks in Outlook. 2) You're using the "Print to OneNote 2007" print driver? What program are you using to open and print the PDF files? 3) Have you opened up ONMobile on your BlackJack for the first time since installing it? That needs to be done before all of the bits are in place for the sync to occur. Remember that only the subset of notes placed in your OneNote Mobile Notebook will be synced to the mobile device, not the entire set of data in all of your Notebooks. =?Utf-8?B?ZXR1cmVuY2hhbGs=?= <eturenchalk@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in news:1D4BCA77-7625-4C51-88AD-EC243519A832@microsoft.com: > I love this program and can definitely see huge potential here. > However, I am having some weird issues which are preventing me from > fully experiencing the program and I am hoping someone can help: > > 1) Tasks - For some reason I am unable to create taks from my notes - > my "task" button is not active (it is greyed out) and when I highlight > or select text and click on it nothing happens. | Re: Troubleshooting I'm having the same problem. The Task button in my OneNote 2007 trial is grayed out and unusable. I have Outlook 2003 installed. The task button lights up though while i'm using View>Toolbars>Customize but then grays out again. Solution? "Erik Sojka (MVP)" wrote: > 1) Do you have Outlook 2003 or 2007 installed?
