| OneNote 2007 section reverted to old version I experienced a problem the other day where I had been working on a section, and when I then shared it with a colleague, it reverted back to an old version. I had previously shared the section before - it seems like the colleagues version overwrote mine? Had anyone else experienced this problem? |

| Re: OneNote 2007 section reverted to old version That is extremely odd. What exactly did OneNote tell you about the section afterwards? I did have a look in the cache - could see some of the missing text - but I don't know how to recover from there. I had shared the section before - on more than one occaision had left the share on but had moved the machine to another location (and IP address). Also, the other person did send me an invitation to share from their notebook (in error). Perhaps that had something to do with it? |

| Re: OneNote 2007 section reverted to old version There is a backup folder for OneNote. As you already found the cache, look into the Backup folder there. So let me get this straight...is this a shared notebook (meaning located on a server)? If it is a shared notebook, did the colleague have the same notebook open in their OneNote? If yes, did you use live sharing for a section that was already shared between the two machines? To start the share I did Share -> Live Sharing -> Start Sharing Current Section > If yes, did you use live sharing for a section that was already shared > between the two machines? No, the section was not already shared (but had previously been). |

| Re: OneNote 2007 section reverted to old version Also just to add to the mix another question: are you using Windows Offline files for the folder/notebook in question? Are you running Vista? We have seen problems like this when you are running Vista and using Windows Offline files. If you aren't using offline files then nevermind. OneNote shouldn't lose data like that, not by design in any way shape or form.
