| Shared Notebook audio location? All, I've searched for an answer to this and haven't been able to find any information. I am using Onenote 2007 with a series of shared notebooks. There are two client computers and a network share on a server. When I look on the network share I see my .one files. However, I do not see any of the audio files. I understand that there is a local audio cache and it makes sense to me. But why aren't the recordings on the network share as well? Or am I missing something? There are two reasons I care. First, the network share is backed up, whereas the clients are not. Second, having the audio in similar directories to the .one files makes zipping up a notebook and sending it to a classmate (who doesn't have access to my server) a much easier process. Can anyone shed some light on this? Is it a design decision? Short circuit between my ears and the .one files are on the network share ? Thanks, -eric |

| Re: Shared Notebook audio location? Ilya, Thanks for the quick response. Embedded audio certianly explains some of the file size I am experiencing. Funny how there is a schism between the local & the remote. | Re: Shared Notebook audio location? The audio files are actually embedded in the .one files on your network share. OneNote separates the actual notes and all embedded files in the local cache for performance reasons.
