How can I get the "Forward" shortcut to work in Office 2007?

When I try to use the "Forward" shortcut (Ctrl + F) in Office 2007 it just
pulls up the "Find" dialogue box... Just like that shortcut always has for
previous versions of Office. When I place my mouse pointer over the Forward
COMMAND, it tells me that that the shortcut IS Ctrl + F but this is clearly
an error. Does anyone know whether this something that can be altered on my
pc or if it's something that has to be fixed in a patch? Thank you. -

Hi Justin,

Which MS Office 2007 program are you in and if in Outlook what view are you using? If you're in the Outlook 2007 Inbox Ctrl+F
should bring up the 'envelope' to forward the current message.

Re: How can I get the "Forward" shortcut to work in Office 2007?

Bob:

I am in Outlook. I'm actually in the calender view; specifically I'm in a
Calender Item which I'm trying to forward. My Microsoft keyboard has a
function key that reads "Fwd" (it's the F8 key) but when I press it, it just
pulls up the "Find" box. "Ctrl + F" also just pulls up the "Find" box. It
actually reads *Find on the "F" key as the Crtrl function for that key. I've
never heard of "Ctrl + F" as being anything other than the shortcut for Find.
Have you?

Re: How can I get the "Forward" shortcut to work in Office 2007?

Hi Justin,

When in the Outlook 2007 calendar view if I select and appointment I can use either Ctrl+F or Right click and 'Forward' to create an
email.

You may want to followup in the Outlook discussion group using the link below.
