| handwriting anywhere I have lost the capability of using my Wacom Tablet pen to write anywhere since loading OFFICE Ultimate with WinXP SP2. Wacom doesn't have any answers for this. I can write anywhere in OneNote however. Speech recognition and handwriting recognition are "greyed out" when you attempt to configure Resional & Language settings. Can anyone help on this? -- RM |

| Re: handwriting anywhere Hi Velcro, Outside of the Windows Tablet PC versions, speech recognition and handwriting were dropped from the Office 2007 core products, with Windows retaking claim to those functions, which they have implemented better in Vista than in WinXP outside of Office. Do/did you have a prior version of Office installed? ==================== <<"Velcro" <Velcro@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:6D12EF78-97F6-43BB-A30B-7BE1D6470664@microsoft.com... | Re: handwriting anywhere I purchased the "Stand Alone" Office Ultimate Suite whilst the Office 2000 was uninstalled prior to. In the meantime I see there are a host of 3rd party vendors selling "Write Anywhere to Text" but none that combine Write and DRAW anywhere. It is regretable that MS takes away features in one version of Product and puts them into their new OS product, i.e. Vista. So the long and the short of it is to write and draw in OneNote and copy and paste to other modules.
