hard drive migration causing major problems

Hey,
I have changed hard drives in the past with out any problems. When I used
the western digital transfer (copy) to migrate my old hard drive to my new
one, office xp malfunctioned. I tried repair, and couldn't. Then I tried
the remove function in the control panel, it would not work either. A side
note: my system restore will not close or allow any previous or new points.
I am very familiar with xp, but this has baffled me. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Re: hard drive migration causing major problems

I would have thought something went wrong with the copy process, which will
probably be impossible to rectify, with this installation.

I have only ever used Acronis True Image to clone an installation / HD (the
o/s and office2003), and so far I have had no problems.
There is a fully functioning time limited trial available on their web site.
