Printing empty fields in mail merge

I think I've seen the answer to this before but cannot seem to find it.

I'm using mail merge to complete a pre-printed form from a spreadsheet. If
there is information in every cell, the form prints correctly during merge.
If there is a blank cell it doesn't. The info shifts and the remaining data
after that point prints misaligned on that form. Next form will be fine if
all cells are filled with data or also misaligned if there isn't.

I need to either force printing of empty cells/mergefields or lock the
position of the mergefields in the document so that they print correctly on
the form regardless if a prior cell is empty of data or not.

Thanks

Re: Printing empty fields in mail merge

Try putting a Space in the "cell" to correct the "empty condition"
