| Lost Trial 2003 Office when attempting 2007 Trial 2007 Office Help please. I am suddenly without ANY MS Office and I need to fix it fast. I will try to give you all the details but it may get confusing. My trial version of Office 2003 SB on my almost brand new computer is about to expire. I saw that Office 2007 is also available so I wanted to check it out before deciding which one to buy. When I attempted to download and install Trial 2007 SB Office everything seemed OK except it told me I had a Windows System Error - IP Conflict AND the install wizard wouldn't recognize my Outlook 2003 so I couldn't check off the Business Contacts option. I uninstalled the 2007 program and tried to open the 2003 but it asked me for the CD. I opened the CD for the very first time (2003 Office Trial had been pre-loaded on my new computer) but it would not recognize it at all. (The CD SAYS only MS Works 8.5 but the envelope label lists both programs and the trial key for the Trial 2003 Office is listed on there.) The error message tells me something about no path to MS Office Small Business 2003 and asks me to look for STDP11N.MS1 but every time I try to do ANYTHING it keeps asking for the CD that won't read. I attempted a "system restore" to a back-up point 2 days ago and it wouldn't do that either but there was no explanation given. I really need assistance. I have low-to-medium-level computer knowledge. Keep your suggestions easy to follow please! Would it be beneficial to re-install the 2007 trial even though I can't get Outlook to work? And if so, how will I get Outlook to work? Another option I have is to install my old Office 2002 Standard (Student & Teacher version) to buy myself some time. Is that an option at this point?? Thank you so much, -- Debbie K |

| Re: Lost Trial 2003 Office when attempting 2007 Trial 2007 Office Uninstall the Office 2003 trial and then reinstall the 2007 trial. Outlook should install when Outlook 2003 has been removed (along with Office 2003) Uninstalling Office 2003 is your only option since the trial did not come iwth a CD from your manufacturer and it has been withdrawn from Office downloads. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact.
