Compatibility Vista 64 with Office

My 64-bit system (AMD 3200Hz; 2Gb RAM) prevously running on Windows 2000 has
just been upgraded to Vista 64 & I need new Office software to go with it (I
think). I looked at MS Office Home & Student 2007 but cannot determine
whether that product is available in 64-bit format (or does it matter?)
In the 'system requirements' section for the trial download version it is
stipulated ONLY to use a 32-bit browser........

MS Office XP and later (maybe earlier also?) will run just fine on
Vista 64 so, to answer your questions, you don't need new Office
software, Office 2007 is not available in 64 bit format and no, it does
not matter.

Re: Compatibility Vista 64 with Office

If you get the Home & Student edition, then you'll get OneNote. OneNote
has a feature to send any kind of document to it via a printer driver.
That printer driver is not available for Vista 64 bit.

Re: Compatibility Vista 64 with Office

Hi Peter,

There aren't 64 bit versions of the MS Office desktop products. This is is a MS article on Office support in 64 bit Windows
versions:

Re: Compatibility Vista 64 with Office

DO you have any idea of when the printer driver will be updated to function
with 64bit vista?
