Formatting Problem.

Hi.

My sister-in-law called me to solve a problem she had with a document
she was writing. About half way through the document the words at the
end of a line started splitting between lines, rather than moving
completely to the next line as normal. I have tried everything, but
cannot get it to revert to normal. I have a feeling she pressed
ctrl-shift and something else as she has done this before. One other
thing, the font also changed and if I try to change it back it changes
to a series of squares.

Any ideas.

Hi Mossie,

Some fonts, although they look like text to us, are seen by the computer as decorative/symbol fonts. Since to Word the 'symbols'
are not alpha characters it doesn't see 'words' in the document with those fonts.
