| Office 2007 Compatibility Pack Beta I have a large number of computers with the Beta 2 version of the Office 2007 Compatibility Pack and the full version of Office 2003 Professional installed. I don't quite understand whether or not the Compatibility pack will expire? I would like to install the final version of the Office compatibility pack on these computers, but I am told that this can not be done without completely uninstalling the beta version of the compatibility pack (and there is no way to do this remotely on a large number of computers). Questions: Does the Beta2 version of this software open files created in the final releae of Office 2007? Can the final version of Office 2007 compatibility pack be successfuly installed over the beta version? |

| Re: Office 2007 Compatibility Pack Beta Ok, I just tested the ability to open afile created by the full version of Office 2007 on a computer with the Beta2 version of the Office compatibility pack and it works. I am a bit surprised and a bit relieved. The lingering questions is Can the final version of Office 2007 compatibility pack be successfuly installed over the beta version? NO is the opinion of some of our IT staff, but I have not confirmed it. I am a bit surprised and a bit relieved. Pure luck. You happen to hit only things in the file that weren't change from B2 to RTM. > > The lingering questions is > Can the final version of Office 2007 compatibility pack be successfuly > installed over the beta version? Without first removing the beta? Definitely not. But with first removing the beta, it should work.
