I have .MDI files made with Office 2003 on XP, now I wish to open these files
in VISTA ! Can someone point how to do it?
Because the .MDI extension is no longer openning in Vista Office 2007.
Also, when i select "Use Web service to find the correct program" it opens a
link: http://shell.windows.com/fileassoc/0...ir.asp?EXT=mdi which
says File Type: Unknown.

This seems as if the extension info was disposed off entirely with new
version of Office.
Please help !!!

I just now installed MDI viewer from Office Tools group in the setup and it
worked.

Just a fedback, can you please make it a default installation option so that
these questions don't rise ?
Please Keep in mind the people with experience of prior versions of office.
