Both hell and heaven can be found right here on earth, albeit hell is a
lot easier to find :-)

An old Spanish proverb says, "Ladrón que roba a ladrón, cien años de
perdón." In English this would be "A thief who robs another thief is
forgiven."

Re: Installing Office 2007 on multiple PC's

It is that kind of "casual piracy" that results in the protection
schemes you find on Microsoft products today. I guess if you are going
to steal anyway, it doesn't matter what excuse you give.

Using something you paid for is not stealing, Bob. The fact that you may
not be using it the way MS likes is not stealing but a breech of
contract, specifically the EULA which MS hasn't grown the balls to take
anyone to court for violating it because it is such an unconscionable
agreement that you only get to see after you can't get your money back
if you don't agree to the terms. So, please, get off your high moral
horse and back the users instead of kissing MS' ass all the time.

Re: Installing Office 2007 on multiple PC's

You paid for the license to use it only. Nothing else. Users need to
understand that... or start using software (F/OSS) that does not have
strings. The new Open Office is a great improvement on older versions and
reasonably compliant with interchanging MS Office files.

If you use software with strings, then respect the holder of the strings. If
you don't intend to do that, then either use something else or accept the
label you have earned.

<Pedant mode on> - actually the EULA doesn't state whether the primary
device must be a Desktop - the implication is that it could actually be
a laptop...<pedant mode off>
