Can't get Office 95 shortcut bar to add 2007 program shortcuts

I had office 95 but upgraded to office home student 2007. I removed my 95
word, excell and PPoint. I kept access and schedule. Now i just want to add
the new 2007 word, excell & Ppoint to the shortcut bar. I managed to get the
icons on the bar but when I click them nothing happens. When I check the
shortcut properties there is no program path shown only in gray MS Home &
Student.
How do I do it?

And what version of Windows are we talking about here?

I think that you may be able to put the Open Document and New Document Icons
at least on the desktop. They aren't installed by default in Office 2007.
Do Control Panel-Add/Remove Programs, highlight Office, click on Change (it
may be different in XP - haven't used it for a couple of years). Click on
add/remove components and it's under Office Shared Features (I think)

Re: Can't get Office 95 shortcut bar to add 2007 program shortcuts

Thanks. I can get the icons on my desktop and clicking them brings the
program up. I want the icons to appear in my Office 95 shortcut bar which I
keep in the upper right corner of my screen. I can't believe that microsoft
would hide the path to a program. There seems to be no file like Excell
2007.exe. Excell is hidden in the general title of "Microsoft Home and
Student". Same goes for Word, and PPoint. It stinks!!
