I am unable to locate CD or Packaging for my MS Office Home and Student. I
had to reset my laptop to factory settings and I can't use the software any
longer. Is there a way to retreive it. I called Micro Soft and they
couldn't do anything. I purchased it online through Amazon.com and the best
they could do was to give me the UPC and Brand Code.

well, if you hadn't restored your system
back to its factory state, then the product
key could have been retrieved from the
windows registry on the disk.

in the interim and until you purchase a
new copy of office,

you can download a freeware called
open office to view and edit your
word documents.
