Word "work file" problem

When I open MSWord 2007, "Cannot open work file" appears. I have tried a
microsoft sugestion of trying to fix "temp file'? and something in registry
about the normal file. Nothing is working. I have uninstalled office2007,
reinstalled, uninstalled again but only installed Word and Outlook 2003.
These worked fine!! Then I installed Office 2007 but onceagain Word and
Outlook fail!!
I have Windows XP Media edition. When I reinstalled the OS, the media center
now FAILS. There always seems to be something wrong with Microsoft products!!
How do I get WORD and OUTLOOK too work???

Re: Word "work file" problem

Why would hardware issue start after 5 years. I've checked the temp variable
and the have %USERPROFILE% which I believe is right. Any other suggestions?

Re: Word "work file" problem

Because hardware fails as it gets older! Why do you suppose Warranties
are typically only for 1 to 3 years?
