| How to disable (READ-ONLY) on Word/Excel document saved to a netwo Greetings, When I save a Word/Excel document, I normally drop a copy on the company network. I wish to allow others to feel free to update it, but when a user opens the document READ-ONLY is displayed on the top of the screen. How do I disable this so all users can update the files without having the author do all the work. I'm sure that there is something simple that will do this, or am I barking up a tree. Thank you for any assistance that you provide. |

Most likely the group 'everyone' has only 'Read' permissions for that folder.
