Slow Slow Slow

Recently upgraded form Office 2003 to Office 2007. I thought an upgrade was
going to improve my Office use including Excel, Word, Office etc.

What I have found is that although it looks good and is easy to use all the
programs run slow. This has also had an affect on my internet use for some
reason. I am now getting errors, being and to send report to microsoft etc
etc!!! which i did not have before with Office 2003.

Has anyone had the same problems and can anyone help????
Thanks
Steve

Re: Slow Slow Slow

I find Office 2007 no slower (nor faster) than my previous version of
Office -- and that's on pokey, 7-year old hardware.

You say that Office 2007 "had an affect on [your] internet use" but you
don't describe what "effect" you're referring to. You say you're getting
errors, but you don't describe what the error messages say, nor do you
explain why you believe that the error messages are being generated by
Office. (Windows Event Viewer can often help to determine what program or
component is generating an error.)

Perhaps if you can supply more information or be more specific, someone can
offer specific help. Error messages can occur for an unlimited number of
reasons.

Re: Slow Slow Slow

you can get a better idea about
system performance if you boot
into safe mode w/networking.

office and the modem will work
under the above option.

if your system performance is
better in safe mode,

then the configuration for the
system's normal mode of operation
needs to be modified.

just let us know what you find
in safemode.

-------------

to initiate the diagnostic boot
menu,

hold down the f8 key as soon
as the system is rebooted.
