setting picture as desktop bkgrnd without being resized

any thoughts on how set an image (jpeg, bmp) on desktop so that its
dimensions do not get "stretched" or "tiled" i know how to select a
photo. for ex,,nad then resiize it -but what i chose and howit appears on
desktop are two differenct pics.

That's not handled by Office. You might want to try asking the folk in
the group for the operating system you are using.
