Hi

Office 2007 Standard running on XP pro updated.

When copying cells and raws from Excel 1 to a blank Excel 2, the pasting
fails, ie Excel 2 remains blank. On many occasions, Excel 1 freezes up and I
have to kill it from Task manager. I installed SP2 and ran the repair but
this did not help a lot, except for the freeze which now became intermittent.

I understand the issue occurs when trying to copy cells between Excel
workbooks.

To narrow down the root cause of our issue, I suggest we first check the
issue on two new created workbooks, does the issue occur on new Excel files?

Also, please start Excel safe mode and checked if the issue occur in Excel
safe mode.

1. Click Start->Run, type "Excel /safe" (without the quotation marks) in
the Open box.

Note: There is a space between the Excel and the /safe switch.

2. Click OK.

3. Type in some cells and save it to Excel1.

4. create a new workbook by Office button > New.

5. Try to copy some cells in Excel1 to the new Excel2, what is the result?
