Hi everyone.

My client has a Dell XPS laptop with Office 2007 Professional OEM and
recently whenver he opens Word or Excel, Microsoft Office Professional Hybrid
2007 commences installation, gathers required information etc. It takes a
few minutes before Word or Excel start.

Now, I have done a Google search and most of the posts only say that I
shouldn't see Hybrid 2007 or that it is because 'the installation includes
the Professional trial" version etc etc but none of these posts tell me how I
can stop it from running every time Word or Excel tries to start.

I have uninstalled Office and used my CD to re-install it but my CD is,
AFAIK, the same hybrid version that my OEM uses.

How can I stop Microsoft Office Professional Hybrid 2007 from running ????

Ditto. Everytime I try to run any Office 2003 application (Word, Excel, etc.)
it trys to run the installation program for Office 2007 Hybrid. This only
started about a month ago as far as I recall. Could it have been after a
service patch to office was installed? I am at SP3. It is a bit annoying.
