POERPOINT

I have a promblem shading shapes in power point to do drawings.
2003 version allows you to shade a shape from both ends therefore shape
looks like a pipe in a 2D layout.
The 2007 version does'nt have this application, it only allows from 1 side.
Is there any add on for this program that will add extra shadings for shapes
for the 2007 version.

Re: POERPOINT

You will have to do it manually. http://www.echosvoice.com/gradients.htm
should help.

Start by filling the shape with a gradient preset -- select the shape, go to
Drawing Tools Format | Shape Fill | Gradient and choose one of the gradients
that's darker on the side -- like the one called "linear right" when you
hover over it.

Then go to the gradient dialog as explained in the link above and create
stops 4 and 5 in the gradient stops. Format stop 4 to the color of stop 2
and stop 5 to the color of stop 1. Then adjust the placement. I put stop 1
at 0, stop 2 at 27, stop 3 at 50, stop 4 at 79, and stop 5 at 99 and got a
passable pipe.

You can also do the same thing with 3 stops. Darker stop 1 at position 0,
darker stop 3 at position 100, lighter stop 2 at position 50.

No need, really. It just does things a bit differently. To get a 3D pipe
effect, make sure that there are 3 gradient stops. Set stops 1 and 3 to the
same color and put them at 0 and 100% respectively. Set stop 2 to a lighter
color and set it at 50%.

Play with the positions to change the width and intensity of the "highlight".
