If you are referring to Word, then at the Home tab, in the Paragraph group,
click the Show/Hide icon which is a paragraph return symbol.

In Word 2007, from the Home tab, there is a "hidden" effect available from
the Font drop down window. That turns the effect on and off for highlighted
text.
