HELP Please! I downloaded the trial version of Office professional 2007. I
could not get outlook 2007 to install. I uninstalled the other versions of
office that I had on my computer and proceeded to reinstall office 2007.
However, when the download stated it was going to take 2+ hours, I cancelled
the download.

I then restored my computer to before I installed office 2007.

Now, when I try to open my office 2003 programs, word, excel, outlook, I get
an error message that says:

Windows Installer: This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the
patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application
vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows installer patch package.

Can someone please help me? I am not an amatuer, but I also am not an
expert. I read something about this error at microsoft.com, but did not
understand how to fix my computer.

Needless to say....I want be downloading any more trial versions of office
2007!

I ran the utility clean up as stated, but I still get the message. I cannot
uninstall or reinstall office 2003. Any other suggestions?
