| Office 2007 Pro - Academic license Hi! I really like Office 2007, and want to buy it, but I need: - a version with Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Publisher and Access - a version which I can install on three PC's. I rang my local shop yesterday; they're a Microsoft Gold Dealer, so I expected them to know what they were talking about, and they advised me the Academic version (I work at a university, so this would be legal, I guess). But this morning, I rang again to know if it was available yet, I got someone else on the phone, and he asked me why I wanted the Academic version; I explained my needs and then he stated that the Academic version cannot be installed on three PC's but on only one ... Does anyone have more, specific information about this? Microsoft seems awfully late with specific information on this on their website ... Many thanks in advance! |

| Re: Office 2007 Pro - Academic license Hi Elpenoor, The only MS Office 2007 suite license that allows three PC installs with a single purchase (all for the same household) is the MS Office Home & Student Edition (Word, Excel, OneNote, Powerpoint). The other retail editions allow two installs for one person. Some schools have volume license educational agreements for MS Office products and some offer the products to their students under that agreement beyond the reduced Academic pricing for packages such as MS Office Professional 2007 http://microsoft.com/Education/USAcademicPricing.mspx ================ <<"Elpenoor" <Elpenoor@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:26DF3EDF-DAAA-417D-B358-506FC3B637A0@microsoft.com... | Re: Office 2007 Pro - Academic license Thanks for the quick reply. I live in Belgium, and we have similar educational programs here, but the problem is that I would like to continue to use Office 2007 now and it will probably take another 6 to 8 months before it will be available at a reduced price. I'll go for the Home & Student version then and wait for the Pro version at a the educational price. Thanks!
