Accounting 2007 NEEDS to be in UK English with GBP currency.

Is intrigued as I am in Microsoft Accounting 2007, it is utterly useless to
anyone non-American. You need to release a British version of this ASAP.
Why bother advertising it on the worldwide officelive site otherwise???

Re: Accounting 2007 NEEDS to be in UK English with GBP currency.

Hi Chris,

The accounting standards and rules vary by locale. The initial release of MS Office Accounting 2007 Professional and the free MS
Office Accounting 2007 Express is for the U.S. market with others to follow.

You may want to check the MS Office Accounting discussion group through the link below to see if anyone has heard of any dates for
non-U.S. versions yet.

The MS Office Online site (MS OfficeLive is a separate service group) does have locale settings you can choose in the upper left
hand corner, but there is quite a bit of marketing on the site <g>

RE: Accounting 2007 NEEDS to be in UK English with GBP currency.

MS released AT LAST ! a UK version, MS Office Accounting 2008. Get a free
trial or download the Express at:

http://www.msofficeaccounting.co.uk/product.aspx

Does a great Sage L50 import :-) and now has conectors for Quickbooks and
linkage to other 3rd party apps.

I would also recommend downloading the Business Contact Manager extension if
your an Outlook user. This extends the functionality for networked users into
realms of CRM, Sales Pipeline Management and Project Management. Links with
Office Accounting, although clearly needs a bit more work, but basics are
there.

Best of luck,

Nigel

Hi Paul,

Assuming you downloaded the U.K. version :) you may want to also post this in the MS Office Accounting discussion group through the
link below.
