Spacing after Apostrophe

A user who is using XP Pro with Office 2007 is trying to type an email, when
they start typing anything with an apostrophe in it, it puts a space
inbetween the apostrophe and the following letter.

As an example... typing don't comes out more like don' t

I've checked the Show/Hide Formatting Symbols which doesn't display anything
inbetween the apostrophe and the following letter.

If we were to type dont without the apostrophe, it will underline and the
spellchecker manages to put the apostrophe in without the space, but going
back and manually putting it in, it adds the space.

I've loaded up Word on the same computer and tried it, but it appeared to
work fine, without the spellchecker.

I've noticed that this doesn't happen in just one particular program after
browsing for a solution, others say it happens in both Word and PowerPoint
also.

I tried deleting the NormalEmail.dotm file thinking it may have stored
something in the AutoCorrect settings, but it didn't, whether I need to
delete the Normal.dot file for that as Outlook picks up Word as the editor in
most cases.

I did find that changing the font to Arial or Calibri got it working in
Outlook, and noticed that the font that was set as the default was not in the
font list. I thought that would be the cause, but then the font wasn't in the
Word font list... which doesn't make sense.

Anyone have any other ideas of what to try/check?

No, this a public USER newsgroup. If you want to communicate with
Microsoft, you contact them.
