| Full Version Install A couple questions that I haven't seen addressed regarding full version Office: 1) Does second permission allow install on two portables? 2) If one machine must be a desktop, is install required on that machine first? I don't know how much of a machine's info the software can recognize, but we are considering replacing the dying desktop (which currently has Dell OEM Office) with a laptop, docking station and additional monitor(s) and keyboard as peripherals. Want to know what the licensing situation is prior to committing to this approach. Thanks! |

INSTALLATION AND USE RIGHTS. Before you use the software under a license, you must assign that license to one device. That device is the “licensed device.” A hardware partition or blade is considered to be a separate device. a. Licensed Device. You may install and use one copy of the software on the licensed device. b. Portable Device. You may install another copy on a portable device for use by the single primary user of the licensed device. |

It's the USAGE (ie academic etc etc) that differ. |
